The Reds are set to play their final pre-season game before the season kicks-off, they will take on Italian side Como for the second time today. The first game earlier today was not full of goalmouth action, a 0-0 draw at the AXA was the first of two results we will see today, Andoni Iraola will be hoping his team can put in a statement performance before their blockbuster opening Premier League game next weekend away at Newcastle.

The big news coming in, Jeremy Jacquet is set to make his Liverpool debut after missing all the previous pre-season games.

The defender brought in January cost the club ÂŁ60 million, ever since that news came out Liverpool fans have been looking forward to seeing the Frenchman play for the first time. A very highly rated player in Ligue 1, Jacquet is known for his aerial dominance, speed and physicality.

Partnering up alongside Virgil Van Djik, a defensive force Iraola will be depending on this season if his side want to win any silverware.

Ronald Araujo named on the Reds bench, setting up a second debut of the day under the Anfield lights. Brought in only last week on a season long lone with a obligation to buy, the versatile centre back brings in much needed cover at the back.

Rated as one of the best defenders in the world not so long ago by the Barcelona fans, issues of the pitch have seen him fall out of favour in Catalonia. A new destination is exactly what he needed and if Iraola and his staff can get the best out of the Uruguayan then the club have got one of the best centre backs in the world on their books.

A very strong eleven named by Iraola, a potential sign of how Liverpool will be looking seven days' time at St James Park. The bench mostly consists of players who featured in the first game between these two sides six hours ago. Victor Munoz the standout from that fixture as he try's to regain his match fitness.

Curtis Jones eft out the squad once again, with a rumoured move away from Merseyside on the cards it would be no surprise to see the scouser leave the club in the new few days.
