Earlier this month we predicted what the Reds' starting 11 would look like on the upcoming installment of EA's next FC game.
After a tough 2025/26 season, we expected a few downgrades, but it seems EA have been quite harsh on Liverpool's players.
Liverpool's top 11 players have had their ratings released, so let's dive into them.
11 - Jeremie Frimpong, 81 rated (RB)
Our prediction was a downgrade from 83 to 82, and while it's only a point difference, it still feels a bit much.
The Dutch international has looked sharp in pre-season popping up with a few assists, and looks to be heading back towards the form we saw at Bayer Leverkusen.
If he's able to stay fit and reignite the partnership with Florian Wirtz that made them so dangerous, he could be in for a great season.
10 - Cody Gakpo, 82 rated (LM)
Our prediction was spot on. The winger didn't have the best of seasons and his lacklustre performances meant he went from 84 rated to 82.
There's speculation the Dutch forward may leave Liverpool this summer, following Andy Robertson to Tottenham - however, unless there are incomings, this feels unlikely.
9 - Giorgi Mamardashvili, 83 rated (GK)
Our previous prediction didn't include Mamardashvili as it was only the starting 11 that was looked at.
In FC 26 the Georgian started as an 84 rated player, and while he had opportunities to impress last season due to injuries to Alisson, the instability across the squad made it hard for him to showcase his talents.
His downgrade feels a bit harsh, but many across the club still feel he is the right man to replace the legendary Alisson.
8 - Alexis Mac Allister, 84 rated (CM)
The Argentine was 87 rated in FC 26, so this is quite the change. He had a poor season as well, and seemingly lost his legs for the majority of the year.
Rejuvinated performances in the World Cup meant that this was not the case, and perhaps Mac Allister had been saving himself in order to perform at his best in the United States.
Nonetheless EA hit him with a big downgrade, and many Liverpool fans will hope he can get back to his best this year.
7 - Ryan Gravenberch, 85 rated (CDM)
Another spot on prediction. EA have maintained the Dutch midfielder's 85 rating from FC 26 after a mixed season.
His stats improved from 2024-25, but his performances left a lot to be desired. Staying at 85 feels right.
6 - Hugo Ekitike, 85 rated (ST)
On a roll now. The Frenchman's debut season in Merseyside was merited with an upgrade to 85 from 83 last year.
With 15 G/A in a season that ended in awful circumstances, and cruelly missing out on the World Cup, this will hopefully soften the blow for the young striker. Even if he thinks his head is too big.
5 - Dominik Szboszlai, 86 rated (CAM)
Four correct predictions so far. The Hungarian more than deserved an upgrade from his base rating of 83 after a season full of important goals and strong performances.
A strong contender for Virgil van Dijk's vice captain, the midfielder channeled his inner Stevie G and propelled the Reds to some decisive victories last season, and seeing him merited for it in game is good to see.
4 - Florian Wirtz, 86 rated (CAM)
Look at how they massacred my boy.
We said anything more than a one point downgrade would be harsh, and EA hits him with a big three point deduction.
He will know better than anyone how disappointing last season was, but with a full pre-season under his belt alongside Alexander Isak, and a new manager who is great at platforming attackers, there is hope the German can flourish in his second season in England
3 - Alexander Isak, 86 rated (ST)
The Swede's change from an 88 is probably deserved, yet still feels a little harsh considering his season was plagued with injuries and a lack of fitness.
But, similarly to Wirtz, he has had a full pre-season and their relationship on the pitch will be key this season to put the Reds back where they belong.
2 - Alisson Becker, 87 rated (GK)
Another correct prediction, but one that is disappointing.
Missing 122 days of football definitely didn't help, but the Brazilian still has a lot to offer, and there really aren't many better.
Hopefully his injury issues are behind him, and after a strong performance against Como last weekend, many will hope that this isn't Alisson's last season in Liverpool red.
1 - Virgil van Dijk, 88 rated (GK)
This two point downgrade hits the hardest, and feels the most ruthless.
Could the skipper have performed better? Definitely. But, in his 6000+ minutes, many would struggle to point out a sustained period of poor form.
The Dutchman will feel hard done by, but will be looking forward to a new era under Andoni Iraola.
