Liverpool have perfect chance to steal West Ham star (and it's not Jarrod Bowen)

Liverpool could sign an alternative player from West Ham United to Jarrod Bowen.

Jarrod Bowen has often been mentioned as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. However, Crysencio Summerville could be a better option for Liverpool.

Following West Ham's relegation to the Championship, many of their top players, including Bowen and Summerville, will likely depart the club.

Bowen is also the subject of interest from Everton, Newcastle United, and Manchester United.

However, he has strong ties to West Ham, being the club captain. He is also married to the daughter of the actor Danny Dyer, who is a big Hammers fan.

The winger is a quality player who scored the winner for the Hammers in the Europa Conference League. This season, despite West Ham's poor form, he still started in all 38 of their Premier League games, scoring nine goals and setting up 11.

Bowen could be a good asset for Liverpool, but recent posts on social media and comments in interviews appear to hint that he will stay at West Ham to get them back up from the Championship. He is also 29 now, so it might be better for Liverpool to look at someone younger.

Is Crysencio Summerville a better option for Liverpool than Jarrod Bowen?

Summerville is only 24, so he has more potential than Bowen. He has also been called up by the Dutch national team for the World Cup. Summerville would have made his debut for the Netherlands in the last international break but for injury. Despite making 22 appearances for England, Bowen was not called up by England.

At times, it looked as if Summerville could be West Ham's savior from relegation this season. He scored in four straight Premier League games in January and February as the Hammers hit a bit of form.

Unfortunately, a calf problem picked up in an FA Cup tie with Brentford disrupted his season. He managed seven goals with five assists in 34 games in all competitions this campaign. This was for a team struggling in the Premier League, so he would no doubt be more effective for a club such as Liverpool.

The Reds also have notable Dutch players, including Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Cody Gakpo. They would help Summerville settle at the club. All of which are also in the Netherlands team for the World Cup, so they should have great chemistry with the current West Ham man. Surprisingly there are no Liverpool players in the current England squad.
