When Mohamed Salah officially put pen to paper this week on a new two-year deal to remain with Liverpool Football Club, it put an end to months of speculation over his future.
Choosing to remain at Anfield in the pursuit of individual and team accolades over multi-generational wealth from abroad is something to be admired and respected.
The club will be delighted he's staying on board and with that being said, there are several winners that come from this situation. Let's take a look at the three biggest winners from Salah extending his Reds stay.
1. Mohamed Salah
We'll start with the obvious one here, as the Egyptian King gets to stay on his throne as he will continue spearheading the next phase of football at the club.
Salah will get to keep hunting down every record he can over the next two seasons as he looks to firmly entrench himself as one of the very, very best players to ever sport Liverpool red.

He's already a legend, but if he can help secure some more trophies and keep tearing up the goal and assist charts, there will be no denying his long-term status as an icon.
Staying on at Liverpool also gives him the best chance to capture the one thing that has truly eluded him, a Ballon d'Or. While he was a clear favorite about a month ago, his dip in form has brought about some questions.
However, with a secured future, it's very possible to see Salah kick on again and get back to his swashbuckling ways. He gets to keep challenging himself at the highest level which is what he always wanted.
2. Arne Slot and Richard Hughes
Two huge winners from this development are the coach and Sporting Director at the club. For months, Hughes has had to endure berating over his handling of the contract negotiations and there was a time where it looked like Salah might be going.
The fact that Liverpool are retaining his services for practically the same wage he was already on is also a huge feather in the cap of Hughes and his team.
A less than active first few transfer windows in charge did not give Hughes a lot of wiggle room in terms of support from the Reds faithful.

He needed a big signing or coup to firmly establish himself in his important role at the club, and Salah staying on is just that. If he can get Virgil van Dijk's deal across the line as well he'll be over the moon.
As for Slot, he does not have to squeeze out 44 goal contributions from the rest of his squad or imbed a new right winger.
The Dutchman gets to keep his ace-in-the-hole and one of the first names on his teamsheet every single week. Another summer to further get comfortable with each other might see more magic over the next few campaigns.
3. The Fans
It would have been a catastrophic summer if Salah, van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold were all allowed to leave on free transfers.
These three are the heart and soul of this club and have been the faces that turned things around under Jurgen Klopp.
Salah staying right where he is gives the fans their talisman back. They can continue singing his song every time out as he marauds up and down the opposition's wing.

Your club having one of the very best players in the world is not a common thing, so Liverpool fans get to remain spoiled in that regard as well.
It will also give more life to this hopefully inevitable 2024/25 Premier League triumph knowing it's not going to be the last go-round for Salah at the club. No tears need to be shed for that now.
Kopites all over rejoiced at the news of our beloved No. 11 signing on for two extra seasons, and they will cherish every goal, assist, nutmeg and more as much as they humanly can. You have to when watching greatness.
