The Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has got Liverpool fans excited, after he released a breaking image of an upcoming Liverpool transfer.

Liverpool have had a quiet summer transfer window. However, such is the nature of the game and being under new management, the Reds were always expected to do business this summer. So, with just three days remaining, the Liverpool transfer news is understandably reaching boiling point.

One player who the Reds have been linked with in recent days is the Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Georgia international who is tipped to be a great goalkeeper for the future has entered Arne Slot's radar of late, amid growing concerns that he must replace Alisson Becker between the sticks long-term.

After Fabrizio Romano confirmed yesterday that the deal has been sealed, and Giorgi Mamardashvili is set to join Liverpool in 2025, Liverpool fans have been eagerly awaiting an announcement. However, the announcement has not yet been made.

But Liverpool fans needn't panic. In fact, Fabrizio Romano has provided yet another update which needed no words and instead, simply an image.

Romano released the image to his X (formerly Twitter) account. The picture is seemingly a selfie which Giorgi Mamardashvili took while wearing a Liverpool jersey.

Reading between the lines here, it is easy to assume, then, that the announcement pictures have already been taken by Liverpool's club photographers and his announcement has been arranged.

Giorgi Mamardashvili has started both of Valencia's opening La Liga games. It is not surprising, since the 23-year-old is valued highly there. As such, he will not join Liverpool until 2025. Still, the transfer is planned ahead of time.

It must be said, that the new Liverpool transfer looks good in Liverpool colours. In fact, it is great to see that the bearded excellence will continue between the sticks at Anfield, even when Alisson eventually leaves the club.
