As you all know, the news cycle never stops around Liverpool and today is no different as I am here once again with some of the biggest headlines you should know about from the week that has been thus far.
Several Reds players are shining for their respective nations and Arne Slot is rumored to be a big fan of a Liverpool player returning from loan.
Let's get started!
Arne Slot is said to be a fan of Fabio Carvalho
We are all aware of the explosive loan spell Carvalho had while at Hull City over the last few months where he scored 9 goals to go with 2 assists.
What Liverpool plans to do with him has been a hot topic heading into this summer transfer window, but if some new reports are to be taken seriously, incoming coach Arne Slot is said to be a big admirer.
While he was in charge at Feyenoord he made it known he wanted to bring Carvalho to the Eredivisie as he was player he felt he could manage and grow.
With a summer of change going on, especially the massive coaching overhaul, some players will be nervously awaiting the new regime. Carvalho might have a leg up already in that area.
Liverpool players shining for their nations
As countries begin preparing for the massive competitions set to take place this summer, there are some final friendlies to be taken care of beforehand.
These have given some Liverpool players a chance to shine. Trent Alexander-Arnold got himself on the scoresheet against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
It was yet another example of why this man needs more time in the midfield. Elsewhere, Hungary battled the Republic of Ireland. Dominik Szoboszlai was the star of the show for his country as he led the match in created chances in addition to recording 9 ball recoveries.
Caoimhin Kelleher was the man between the sticks for the Irish and he stood out as he had been doing all spring for the club.
Ben Doak suffers an unfortunate injury setback
The 18-year old had been considered to have a darkhorse chance at making the Euro 2024 squad for Scotland. He had been recovering from a torn meniscus and the summer was seen as his shot to show the world what he can do.
As things stand now, he did not participate in their friendly against Gibraltar and it has now been confirmed that he is recovering from a new injury hurdle.
It has now been confirmed he will not be playing in the big tournament this summer. It's a tough setback for the young winger, but he can focus on his rehab back with the club and get fully ready for the new season.
