More transfer rumors and another preseason friendly filled the weekend for Liverpool as they edge closer and closer to the next Premier League season.
Here is a rundown of the latest surrounding the champions of England.
Luis Diaz future sorted
After multiple successful seasons with the Merseyside club, Luis Diaz is set to depart for Bayern Munich, after a breakthrough in negotiations was achieved over the weekend.
Per reliable outlets such as David Ornstein and Paul Joyce, the two clubs agreed on a final fee of €75 million for the Colombian, who agreed a deal with the Bavarian giants until 2029.

When covering the transfer developments over the weekend, Paul Joyce stated that there were two attempts made to agree a new contract that were unsuccessful due to gaps in wage demands and wage offerings.
Following this agreement being reached, Diaz has been given permission to leave the Reds' tour in Tokyo and did so on Monday, according to Lewis Steele.
The forward departs having made 148 appearances for the club, providing 41 goals and 23 assists.
All in all, considering his output, the success of the club during his time there and the fee he has now fetched, this transfer can certainly be classified as a success for Liverpool and for Diaz.
Alexander Isak interest continues
Liverpool continue to be interested in bringing Alexander Isak to Anfield, though a formal bid is still yet to be placed.
There is the potential that the funds from Luis Diaz will lead to a bid being placed.
Craig Hope, who covers Newcastle, stated that Liverpool sources are saying that this sale will lead to the club formalizing their interest in Isak, with Newcastle expecting an official approach.
Fabrizio Romano reported the same, stating that he expects the Reds to go very strong for Isak and that he considers a bid being placed a 'matter of time'.
He also mentions that Isak has rejected contract proposals from Newcastle and interest from Saudi Arabia in the hopes of moving to Liverpool, and Liverpool only.

For the time being, all reports indicate that Liverpool still strongly hope to bring the striker in this summer and will wait for encouragement from Newcastle that they are willing to sanction his exit before they formally make a bid.
There has been an increase in reporting around a Newcastle move for Benjamin Sesko, which is almost certainly linked to Isak's future.
If major movement is seen regrading Sesko to Newcastle, it could be an indicator that they are making steps to make Isak's exit more acceptable.
Preseason tour continues
On the pitch, Liverpool took on AC Milan in Hong Kong over the weekend in their latest preseason fixture. Goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo were not enough, as the Reds fell 4-2.

Rio Ngumoha and Florian Wirtz were the standout performers on the afternoon, with Reds across the world finally able to see the German playmaker in action.
Liverpool are now in Japan and will be taking on Yokohama FM this Wednesday. It is possible Hugo Ekitike will make his debut in this fixture and Alexis Mac Allister, who is now back in full training, may return to action as well.
