Lazar Markovic must make the most of what time is left in his Liverpool career.

This is the final part to the three-part-series: read about keeper Danny Ward and full-back Jon Flanagan. Next is Liverpool’s orphan child, Lazar Markovic who is up for discussion, once again.

Having done a piece on him as recent as January. This Is Anfield reports that Markovic will likely be let go from his loan spell and sent out immediately after to Hull City.

Out of the other three candidates mentioned in this series, I see Markovic as the least favorable player and the most likely to be shown the exit door.

Two main factors stand out about the Markovic transfer saga: 1) Why on God’s green earth was he unable to force his way into Sporting’s first team, in a league where he was expected to be prolific and promising? 2) Why has Klopp never thought twice about keeping and using him while Liverpool was in a rut during January.

Markovic’s Loan Spells A Likely Dismal

There is not a lot of evidence that points to Markovic having a future at Anfield. Looking back as last season’s loan to Fenerbache, you will notice how worthless he’s become to the club.

Netting only three goals and one assist in three different teams, in three different leagues is nothing to write home about.

For a winger this does not impress and is not likely to convince a mid-table team to keep you on their squad. There are better wingers in the reserve side at the moment. The likes of Ojo and Woodburn are slowly making their way up the pecking order.

If will be very difficult for Markovic to overtake these two players. Even if he did, Klopp would likely give Markovic the nod last.

It would be wise for Markovic to consider a permanent move away from Liverpool if he wants to revive his football career.

If it were up to me, I would sell him and look for a stronger and better winger to run out on the pitch.
