With less than 12 months before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia there are 5 Liverpool players who need to move if they want to make it to the tournament.

It is the dream of every boy (or girl) who ever kicked a soccer ball; to win the World Cup. Even with all the trappings and riches of being a Premier League footballer these players still dream of winning the big one. The glory of the prize. To write your name in football history.

Such dreams are a powerful motivator. There are a number of Liverpool players whose summer movements will be shaped by the goal of making their international side next summer. As it stands, these players are either on the outside looking in or on the fringes. One poor or average season and someone else will nip in and grab their place.

It is almost impossible to get into a 23 man World Cup squad if you are not playing regular first team football. It is hard enough even if you are getting that playing time. Liverpool have a large playing squad with many internationals whose teams are vying for qualification. As we sign more players the anxieties of missing out are going to grow.
