Liverpool predicted XI v Maribor: Young Reds set to shine
By David Gate
Midfield
James Milner has started the last three games for the Reds and should continue in the middle in midweek. His calm head and experience has been vital in a tricky two-week period. He should be fresh after only starting five games this year and his inclusion will allow him to rest Jordan Henderson.

It looks like Emre Can has fallen out of favor after a poor showing against Spurs and the ongoing drama of his contract situation. I think ideally Klopp would start Gini Wijnaldum after the Dutchman was back in the goals against Huddersfield. However he missed the previous game against Spurs with a thigh injury and could be rested against Maribor.
Philippe Coutinho missed Saturday’s matchup but is thought to be available for selection on Wednesday. Klopp will be careful not to push his best player too much as he will be traveling for Brazil in the international break. That means Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic could get a rare start in midfield.
Klopp really like the potential of Grujic and may give him an opportunity to shine in a game where his defensive instincts will not be tested regularly. If he starts I expect to see him as the most advanced of the midfield three.
