The youngster has been on fire for Liverpool in the Under-23 Premier League 2 division. Jurgen Klopp spoke last week about how it was time for him to take the next step and he did that today in convincing fashion.
Wilson won a penalty early in the game after cutting inside USA international Eric Lichaj and forcing him into a handball as he tried to cross it in.
But it was his poacher’s goal that sealed the win for the Tigers. He came flying in at the far post to slam the ball into the top of the net at close range.
While he has been banging in the goals for fun for the Liverpool reserves he has yet to find himself included in a first team match day squad at Anfield. Many fans have commented that he resembles a young Fernando Torres; both in his appearance and his style of play. If he can become half the player Torres has been then he will have a good career and feature for Reds sooner rather than later.
Two other Liverpool players featured on loan in the Championship this weekend at different ends of the table. Marko Grujic started last night for Cardiff City as they drew with 1-1 with Millwall in the race for promotion places.

Ovie Ejaria also started today for Sunderland in their relegation dog fight. The Mackems drew 3-3 with Bristol City in a decent result away from home. All three of WIlson, Ejaria and Grujic were subbed in their games proving how hard it is for on-loan players to get good minutes.
