While everyone is discussing who Liverpool will want in the Quarter Finals of the Champions League one thing is certain: Nobody wants to play Klopp’s Reds.
I am sure you have already looked at the list of seven potential Champions League opponents for Liverpool in the Quarter Finals but here they are anyway: Manchester City; Barcelona; Real Madrid; Sevilla; Juventus; AS Roma & Bayern Munich.

Most fans are leaning towards Roma or Sevilla as potentially the easiest route to the Semi-Finals. But one thing is for certain – the fans of these clubs are looking at the same list of teams and thinking ‘well, we don’t want Liverpool’.
The big four of European football are all present in the last eight; Barca, Real, Juve and Bayern are giants and perennial contenders. It is a stretch to say that they will fear anyone. They have too much experience and talent to have much anxiety.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side is uniquely designed to beat these teams. They are all used to breaking down deep-lying ranks of defenders – they do it every week. They aren’t so used to playing attacks that rival – or even better – their own. And that is what Liverpool possess.
Most of these sides will not have played a team as willing to press high up the pitch as Liverpool will be and who have the pace and attacking quality to make opportunities count.
Mohamed Salah is as good as anyone in Europe right now that isn’t the greatest player of all time from Argentina. Roberto Firmino is a center back’s nightmare; harrying, hustling, moving into space and then punishing any tiny mistake. Sadio Mane has not been as devastating as last year and yet already has more goals and has scored 6 in 6 Champions League starts.

I’m not sure Liverpool have the defense or dominant midfield to win the tournament – though they are capable of a five game run of first rate performances. But our attack will score – home and away – and give the fans hope of a sixth European Cup. If you get drawn against us tomorrow, in the words of Stevie G: “All the best”.
