Was Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino the most chill man on the pitch after Mohamed Salah scored against Manchester City?

Firmino is earning a reputation for habit for scoring no-look goals, but what about a no-look celebration? This is an exciting new development.

And the Brazilian pulled one off after Salah hit the first goal of the Reds’ remarkable 3-0 victory against City.

While the Egyptian wizard was standing, arms outstretched, raveling in the love raining down on him from Anfield, his mate Bobby took a more chill approach.

The unexpected mega-success of Salah has been a huge boost to Liverpool this season, but so has the progression of Firmino into a genuinely talented forward.

He’s not a traditional striker but that doesn’t matter. The former Hoffenheim man’s work rate and ability on the ball often takes him away from the box, although that hasn’t stopped Firmino from having his most successful season to date.

With 21 goals spread across the Premier League and the Champions League, the 26-year-old is having the most prolific campaign of his life.

Not only that, but the Brazilian international is just two goals away from equaling his domestic record of 16 – set during his time in the Bundesliga during 2013/2014.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has little option but to pick the dynamic front three of Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane every week and they all work incredible hard for each other.

How they weave havoc in the opposition final third is a major part of Liverpool’s success this season and keeping the trio at the club must now be a priority of Klopp and the board.

The next game on the radar is a crunch Merseyside derby against an Everton side who have experienced mixed fortunes this campaign. After spending £100m+ on transfers, fans have seen very little return on investment.

They’re definitely there for the taking, and you can guarantee that one of those trio will have a hand in Everton’s destruction.
