Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah appears to have shaken off his injury problem as he was snapped moving around the city.

Salah was forced off the pitch after 52 minutes in the quarter-final first leg against Manchester City, but looks to be on the road to recovery.

The Egyptian has made the most of a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, wrote Sky Sports, which is supposed to increase the rate of healing.

After coming off the pitch and being replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum, Salah was escorted down the tunnel by a Liverpool physio in a move that alarmed fans. But these latest pics should calm their beating hearts!

The former Chelsea man’s explosive pace is dangerous enough, but when combined with dazzling dribbling and ice-cold composure it creates panic in opposition defenses and scoring opportunities for Liverpool’s attack.

Of course, attackers who are robbed of their pace are rarely the same again – just ask Michael Owen, which is why Salah needs to be managed very carefully if he does pick up a muscle strain.

Thankfully, his injury record is slight. According to Transfermarkt, the most games he’s ever missed is five back in 2015.

Since then Salah has missed just eight games, with the latest complaint being a ruptured ankle ligament in 2016 that put him out of action for 15 days.

Worryingly, his history does tend to suggest a slight problem with that joint. He’s hurt his ankle three times since 2015, missing a total of 10 games.
