A change in defence

Andrew Robertson has done wonders for the Liverpool defence since he usurped Alberto Moreno at left-back after the latter picked up an injury, but now it’s time for Moreno to have another crack.

Robertson’s performances are a whirlwind of energy, determination and guts – but that can also burn out players and it’s why he needs a rest.

With 19 Premier League appearances under his belt, the £8 million man has been spoken about as the signing of the summer. That says a lot for his post-Christmas progress, but give the man a break here and preserve him for bigger things.

Moreno is not a bad replacement to have. Remember, before he went down Reds fans were speaking about how much better he had got. The team is hardly weakened by the inclusion of the Spaniard.

Bournemouth are a good side and they do play probing football, but they shouldn’t give the 25-year-old too much grief down the flanks. Without being complacent, this is the type of team Moreno should be good enough to play against without too much fear.
