Liverpool fans have been sent into a meltdown after transfer target Jorginho liked an Instagram post.

A fan account posted the screenshots on Twitter, which appear to show the Napoli midfielder liking a post that urged him to move to Anfield in the summer.

Reports have linked the Italy international to a Merseyside move, and this Insta post was a clip of the Brailian-born’s gameplay that featured a caption talking about the merits of his style.

With German Emre Can looking likely to depart, there have been a flurry of players linked to Liverpool who can play in the middle of the park.

Jorginho is one of them, but James Rodriguez and Bruno Fernandes are another two who can be added

to that list.

It seems that manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in a defensively minded midfielder if Can leaves. Liverpool don’t really have one in the squad, and the former Bayer Leverkusen man is probably being stifled a little bit by being asked to play that role.

But he has been a key part of the club’s success this campaign and losing Can for nothing would definitely hurt. This contract dispute has been going on all season and it’s getting to the point of no return now, you’d think.

It can’t be good for the team either to have this constant speculation hanging over their heads, and now some more fuel has been added to the fire with Jorginho’s cheeky little like.

The team will have to focus up for a very important couple of weeks. They need to content with the threat that AS Roma pose and beat them over two legs to make the Champions League final – a tantalizing prospect!

And then Liverpool need to finish their league campaign strongly if they want to end up in second or third place. The race is tight and Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are not going to slip up much.
