Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is seeing a specialist in America after suffering a suspected concussion in the Champions League final sparking injury fear.
Liverpool have sent goalkeeper Loris Karius to receive and MRI scan after his collision with Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final. The player is on holiday in USA but club doctors wanted him to get checked out after his reported symptoms. They are awaiting results of the scan.
The keeper was elbowed in the head by Ramos early in the second half of the 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in Kiev last month. The controversial moment was only seen after the game. Ramos has been much criticized for his dirty tactics. He also took Mohamed Salah out of the game by rolling on to his arm.

After the incident, Loris Karius had a terrible second half performance; rolling the ball into Karim Benzema’s knee for the Real opener before whiffing at Gareth Bale’s late shot to hand Madrid the victory.
Many now believe Karius suffered a concussion of some kind, contributing to his horrible errors. The German keeper complained to the referee but none of the officials saw the incident. It wasn’t until after the game that most fans and commentators were aware of how serious the assault was.
Loris Karius faces a huge task to keep his position as Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper. Rumors abound that the Reds are trying to sign AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker. The club met with the player’s representatives on Saturday as he played at Anfield for Brazil against Croatia in a pre-World Cup friendly.
