Liverpool are returning to an old favorite in the transfer window as manager Jurgen Klopp is pressing to move for Bayer Leverkusen attacker Julian Brandt.
A transfer rumor never really dies. It goes to a purgatory where it will be recycled every year or so until it either happens or the apocalypse arrives. Here is one transfer rumor that is returning from that in-between existence to live again on our Twitter feeds; Liverpool want to sign Julian Brandt.
You know will be very familiar with the Bayer Leverkusen attacker if you have been reading Liverpool transfer rumors longer than Mohamed Salah has been the best player in the world. For consecutive summers – and a few winters – the Reds have been linked to Julian Brandt as he is highly rated by Jurgen Klopp.

The latest news is that Klopp has instructed the transfer committee that he wants the funds allocated for Nabil Fekir to be directed to Leverkusen to sign the German international. He appeared as a substitute in all three of Germany’s World Cup games but only amassed 19 minutes of playing time.
Links to Brandt go back to 2016 and Klopp’s first summer at the club. Many believe that the Reds only went to sign Salah after they knew Brandt was not leaving Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
In April this year it appeared that the player was holding out for a move to one of the Europe’s biggest clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. The lack of interest from that trio may open his mind to a move to Anfield; especially with Klopp’s long-term interest in him.
