France will play all the way to the end of the World Cup after beating Belgium in yesterday’s semi-final. They will face either Dejan Lovren’s Croatia or Jordan Henderson’s England in the final.
Nabil Fekir will likely have a short break after the World Cup that would usually slow things down. However Liverpool already have been through the negotiating process with him. The main issue will be vying with Lyon to lower the price.
Liverpool clearly think the transfer has too much risk as it stands. The concerns over Fekir’s knee – his ACL injury from 2015 and the subsequent surgeries – make the previously agreed deal to dangerous.
Many believed that a move for Shaqiri would be as an alternative to Fekir. Now it looks like Liverpool want to complete both deals. A versatile attacking midfielder is definitely the club’s top priority after they shot down rumors of moves for a center back and an overrated English midfielder this week.
