Liverpool could be on the brink of ‘world domination’ according to one pundit if they can pull of the final transfer of the summer window.
Ask most Liverpool fans how they feel about the squad right now and they are going to pretty positive. The Champions League finalists have added Fabinho, Naby Keita, Alisson Becker and Xherdan Shaqiri to their squad while only losing Emre Can from the first team set-up. However one more transfer could lead to ‘world domination’ says one pundit.
Speaking on TalkSport, Mickey Quinn was waxing lyrical about the current Liverpool side. The front three are world-class and he believes the new look midfield is ‘to die for’. He loves Virgil van Dijk and believes that in Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson they finally have their full backs of the future.

The addition of Alisson gives Liverpool the goalkeeper fans have longed to see. Asked to pick a weak spot he immediately responds by naming Dejan Lovren. For Quinn the World Cup finalist is the one first team player he has questions over.
His conclusion is that Liverpool need to sign another center half to upgrade at that position. If the club were able to do that he predicts glorious success just around the corner. There are many Reds who agree with him.
However there is little chance of a new central defender before the window shuts. Jurgen Klopp trusts Lovren and is talking up Joe Gomez as a center back of the future. A Gomez/van Dijk partnership is one we have been hoping to see for a while.
Even though Joel Matip is suffering from an injury there is plenty of cover with Ragnar Klavan now the fifth choice center back. With just 8 days left of the transfer window it is unlikely we will see any major additions before the season kicks off against West Ham at Anfield.
