Liverpool have wrapped up another piece of transfer business by completing the signing of Bobby Duncan from Manchester City today.
Liverpool have completed the signing of forward Bobby Duncan from Man City. The Reds have paid City £200k in compensation for the 17-year-old. The news of this deal has been around for a month or so but it took a while to agree compensation terms.
The striker is the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard who is now the manager at Glasgow Rangers. Following in the footsteps of his illustrious cousin Duncan has been talking about his joy at the Anfield switch.

He put a post on Instagram of a picture of him signing the deal and a few words of excitement:

Maybe someone in the academy can teach him how to use capital letters! He signs off the post by saying: “Now Lets Get Down to Business #YNWA”

It is more than likely that Duncan will be the last piece of incoming transfer business this summer. Despite the usual flurry of transfer rumors that accompany the last few days of the window it is expected to be a number of outgoings rather than any more players to bolster the squad.
There is a good likelihood that both Danny Ings and Divock Origi will leave the club before the deadline; opening up opportunities for the younger players.

If Duncan can go on to have just a quarter of the career of Gerrard at Liverpool then he will have a decent time on Merseyside and win a trophy or two! Here’s hoping!
