Liverpool star Jordan Henderson has ranked worse than Marko Arnautovic in the FanSided Premier League 50 and that’s shocking.

The annual list of the best 50 players in the league is out now and one major shock for Reds fans will be that Henderson has been deemed a worse player than West Ham attacker Arnautovic.

Hendo pretty much ran the midfield for one of the most exciting and vibrant sides in the competition, while the Hammers’ man could barely rescue the London side from their dull and dreary campaign.

This shows how difficult non-goalscorers have to work to gain the recognition that attackers instantly receive. Yes, 11 goals and six assists is a good return, but surely it shouldn’t be good enough to displace Henderson.

There is some good news nestled among the bad. The midfielder still ranked above England’s new cult icon Harry Maguire, Tottenham Hotspur star Hugo Lloris and Everton’s talisman Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Henderson is excellent at doing those little things that can go unnoticed, but his stock has definitely gone up after the World Cup in which the former Sunderland man had an excellent campaign with England.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had added to his midfield options with the addition of Naby Keita and Fabinho to the squad, and that may increase the pressure on the Englishman. But if he carries on in the same way, there will be little reason for Klopp to drop Henderson.

Arnautovic will be in a similar position. West Ham have recruited in their forward areas and the Austrain will be under pressure to produce the goods again, or he may face the area. Throughout his career, Arnautovic hasn’t been the most reliable. Henderson has, and that should have played more of a part in the FanSided 50.
