Liverpool will head back into Premier League action against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend. Here are five reasons the Reds will destroy Spurs.

If there is one thing that can unify a Liverpool fanbase so often divided in opinion it is that International breaks suck. It is ten days of waiting, hoping and praying that no Red picks up an injury. Impatience this time around is only amplified by the prospect of facing Tottenham Hotspur in our first game back.

Liverpool have had a perfect start to the season with results. Four games, four wins. Nine goals scored, one conceded. Jurgen Klopp has successfully built on the good signs from last season’s Champions League run to give his side a great starting position for the year.

Spurs dropped points last weekend, losing to Watford 2-1 after taking a one goal at vicarage Road. A win for the Reds will create a nice little 6 point gap between the two sides.

Liverpool failed to beat Tottenham Hotspur last season. The same fixture at Wembley was the Reds’ worst performance of the season. Dejan Lovren made two horrible errors compounded by Simon Mignolet turning into vapor making Mauricio Pochettino’s team look good. They weren’t.

Then at Anfield a late wonder goal from Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead in stoppage time. A controversial penalty minutes later saved a point for Spurs.

If Liverpool have genuine title aspirations – and almost everyone watching thinks they do – then three points in London on Saturday is essential. I think Liverpool will get that and then some. Here are five reasons Liverpool will destroy Spurs this weekend.
