They already absolutely love Grujic in Berlin
Liverpool loan midfielder Marko Grujic is already loved by his Hertha Berlin manager as he’s started the season with a bang.
Grujic has played four games in the Bundesliga already before picking up an injury against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 22-year-old will be out for a few weeks following the challenge by Patrick Herrmann, said the Guardian.
And he will be missed in the German capitol. Hertha manager Pál Dárdai has already waxed lyrical about his loan signing and said the deal to bring Grujic to Die Alte Dame was not one the club could normally pull off.
Dárdai went on to say that he thought Grujic was a very talented player, and heaping praise on an individual like that is something the Hungarian hardly ever does.

“Marko is an exceptional player in midfield,” the newspaper reported that the manager said. “I’ve never said that about anyone since I was coach here. It’s not normal for us to be able to get him.”
Of course this bodes well for Liverpool. The midfielder went straight into their team and has helped them to an excellent start to the season, so there is every reason to believe that Grujic will be able to reclaim his place once he recovers from injury.
It also follows the successful loan spell with Cardiff City, which was the Serbian’s first real taste of senior action since he moved to England from Red Star Belgrade.
And with this praise, the decision by Liverpool to hand Grujic a new contract before sending him on loan starts to make more sense. If the youngster can prove his worth in a competitive league by helping a side punch above their weight, there may be hope for him at Anfield.
Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp clearly believes in the 22-year-old and so does Dárdai. Actually, so did Cardiff manager Neil Warnock, who tried to bring Grujic back to the Bluebirds for their Premier League season.
That many professional gaffers can’t be wrong, although it’ll still be a tough task for the youngster to break through into Liverpool’s crowded midfield.
