Barcelona are weighing up a transfer move for £72 million rated Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino as a replacement for ex-Red Luis Suarez.

It’s October now which is just enough time away from the last transfer window to begin a whole new set of ridiculous transfer rumors. This fresh speculation kicks off with a well-worn rumor; Barcelona trying to steal a player from Liverpool; this time it is Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian leads a list of players that Barcelona are targeting to replace Luis Suarez. So why not go for the player that replaced him at his last club?

The source for this rumor is Spanish shite merchants Don Balon so I wouldn’t take this as confirmed in any way whatsoever.

Firmino is rated at £72 million by transfermarkt.co.uk but you would expect the Reds to want well over £100 million for a player that is crucial to the way Jurgen Klopp wants to play. In many ways he is the key player of the attacking trio.

His pressing and hassle in central areas aligned with his excellent technique and skill gives Klopp’s side incredible versatility and opens up space for Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to reap the rewards of the Brazilian’s hard work.

There is very little chance Liverpool will entertain offers for Roberto Firmino, especially after he signed a new deal in the summer. But Barcelona have snapped up Reds that the club didn’t want to sell before; Philippe Coutinho pushing through a move in January that Liverpool were reluctant to sanction.

Barca have also been interested in reserve left back Alberto Moreno. While it unlikely Klopp will want to have only one left back on the roster a large bid for the Spaniard would be hard to turn down for player that received huge criticism from fans and pundits during his time at Anfield.
