Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has been dismissed by Premier League man Robert Snodgrass as he plays FIFA 19 with Andrew Robertson.

Fabinho was heralded as the missing piece of the Liverpool midfield. A genuine defensive midfielder who would take a key place in the middle of the park. That has yet to become a reality for the Brazilian at Anfield and some rivals are having fun with it.

Robert Snodgrass of West Ham was playing FIFA 19 with Liverpool left back Andrew Robertson while on international duty with Scotland. The pair were facing Scott McTominay and Stephen O’Donnell and picked Liverpool to be their team.

As they were picking players for their lineup Snodgrass says they have to include James Milner in the lineup and loudly declares “Fabinho, out!”.

Robertson – who is the Scotland captain – can’t help but laugh. He knows too well how hard it is to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

Like Fabinho he was brought to compete for a first team place. Last season it took until December before he found himself regularly in the match squad and in the team.

Once he got his opportunity he did not look back. Since then he has established himself as one of the best – if not the number one – left back in the Premier League.

The Brazilian is currently away representing his country so we know his current absence from first team action is not to do with fitness or talent.

His latest interview suggests there has been a period of adaptation to Klopp’s ways. It is a different system and he has a number of new responsibilities. The manager seems happy with his progress but is still not at the stage where he trusts him over Milner, Jordan Henderson or Gini Wijnaldum

Even Naby Keita – who was widely expected to be a first team regular – has struggled to keep his place in the side. Though he may be dealing with a few fitness and injury issues.

Next. Could Pulisic be heading to Anfield in January?. dark

Injuries will surely mount up and the games keep coming with four more Champions League fixtures before the end of the year. We will see Fabinho soon enough!
