Jordan Henderson raves about ‘unique’ forgotten man
Jordan Henderson has raved about the ‘unique’ forgotten Liverpool man Adam Lallana.
There will be more than a handful of Reds fans who don’t think that Lallana has a future at Anfield anymore, but Henderson would disagree with each one of them.
According to the official club website, the midfielder was full of praise for his teammate and called the skills that he brings to the side ‘unique’.
“There’s not many players that play like Adam. He is unique in that way, how he links the play,” Henderson commented.

Lallana has missed a lot of football over the past 18 months due to injury, but he is finally ready to take to the pitch again. The ex-Southampton star has recovered from a muscle problem picked up in training for England and is good to go again.
After just three minutes of Premier League football this season, injury struck again. But Henderson is excited for the playmaker to add to that tally – and thinks he could have a positive impact at both ends of the pitch.
“He’s so good on the ball, he’s got a great work ethic and he still does the defensive work,” continued the former Sunderland man.
The 30-year-old’s record for 2016/2017 certainly suggests that as he played 2,348 minutes of league football across 31 appearances. Lallana scored eight goals, created seven others and was a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s team.
But that ground to a halt last campaign as the England international stumbled to just 14 competitive appearances as persistent hamstring problems ruined his season.
Liverpool have looked slightly pedestrian in attack during 2018/2019 and perhaps someone with the skill of Lallana could unlock opposition defenses in a more effective manner – and that’s a statement that Henderson definitely agrees with.
“But if he stays fit he can be a massive player for us going forward and still have a big impact,” concluded the leader.
The Reds take on Huddersfield on the 20th as they resume league duties. A fit Lallana will definitely be a sight for sore eyes for his teammates.
