Liverpool vs Arsenal: Their fans are terrified of Mohamed Salah vs Granit Xhaka
Arsenal fans are terrified at the prospect of Liverpool star Mohamed Salah running at makeshift left-back Granit Xhaka.
Xhaka was played out of position to cover for the injured Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolašinac, but both defenders are due to be fit for the clash against the Reds on Saturday.
This has elicited much relief among the Arsenal fanbase, who witnessed what Wilfried Zaha did against Xhaka and are keen to avoid an even bigger bloodbath.
Salah has caused problems for some of the best defenders in the world and a player who normally turns out as a midfielder would have no chance against the Egyptian. Gunners fans know this, and they’re understandable ecstatic at the latest recovery news.

It would have been the very worst time for Xhaka to face the former Roma man was well. After a goal and two assists against Cardiff City, Salah had had a direct hand in seven goals in five games for club and country. In short, the King is back on his throne and that’s scary for the opposition.
But before they get too comfortable, you’d still fancy any of the Reds’ front three or four to cause problems for a player who has recently returned from injury. Kolašinac hasn’t played yet this season after picking up an injury in August, and Monreal has been out for the last two games with a hamstring complaint.
Bringing someone to come back into the side after missing out to do a job on one of the quickest, most deadly forwards in the league is a huge ask. The Spaniard might be in good form, but he’ll have to come back in without missing a beat and get some luck if he’s going to stop Salah.
It’s a big game on Saturday and Arsenal trail Liverpool by just four points, so they’ll need as many key players in top form as possible if they’re going to plug the gap between the two sides.
