Liverpool stars Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been named in the Goal 50 – a list of the world’s best players this year.
Salah beat Lionel Messi as he was named the third best footballer for 2018, thanks to his phenomenal debut season with the Reds as he scored 32 league goals.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric placed higher than the Egyptian international, who can look back at 2017/2018 with pride.
Mane was the next highest placed Reds man, who was listed as the 18th best player in the world. The Senegalese international became the highest Premier League goalscorer in his country’s history – overtaking Demba Ba – and elevated his status throughout a fruitful season.

As the missing piece in Jurgen Klopp’s jigsaw, the star has helped Liverpool to their best league start ever and has been instrumental in their unbeaten league start.
Firmino was in fine form last campaign as he hit 27 goals in all competitions. As such, Firmino was named the 27th best player in the Goal 50. The Brazilian has been in slightly subdued form for 2018/2019 and has been used as a playmaker in the past few games.
