Agent Virg will help Reds sign world’s best prospect
Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk has said he will help the club sign Ajax wonderkid Matthijs de Ligt.
De Ligt is one of the best young talents around the game and van Dijk has told Jurgen Klopp he will provide a scouting report on his Dutch college, the Mirror reported.
Manchester City and Barcelona have been credited with interest in the 19-year-old, said the newspaper, and so Liverpool may have to move quickly if they want to snag his signature.
He may still be a teenager, but de Ligt already has 90 senior club appearances for Ajax has well as 11 international caps for the Netherlands.

After making his international debut at the age of 17, the defender has gone from strength to strength and has the talent and physical stature to become one of the world’s best.
Van Dijk may not believe that he’ll be made the world’s most expensive defender right now, but said he’ll be the first one to congratulate de Ligt if it happens.
According to the website Transfermakt, the youngster is already worth a massive €50 million, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Ajax will drive a hard bargain for one of their best players.
The Dutch side are definitely a selling club, but they have an incredible youth production line and never seem to miss a beat in churning out the next generation of stars.
In recent years they’ve made big money selling first team regulars like Davison Sanchez to Tottenham for €40 million and Davy Klaassen to Everton for €27 million.
If Liverpool managed to sign de Ligt, they’d have the potential to dominate attacks for years to come. Andy Robertson, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold haven’t hit their prime yet – while van Dijk is still only 27-years-old.
The Reds are back in Premier League action against Watford after the international break, and Klopp will be hoping that his players are wrapped in cotton wool for the upcoming games.
