Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been charged with misconduct by the FA for his celebrations against Everton but not a single Red could care less.

Jurgen Klopp is the Liverpool manager. He is, literally, the boss. That was evident once again yesterday in the wake of Divock Origi’s 96th minute winner in the Merseyside derby.

As all four sides of Anfield erupted after the Belgian’s header Klopp went racing on to the pitch and hugged Alisson Becker before sprinting off and celebrating with the Liverpool bench and the fans.

Watching it happen you just knew there would be some kind of punishment for encroaching on to the field of play.

The FA have wasted no time bringing a charge against Klopp. Today he was charged with misconduct and has until 6pm GMT on Thursday to respond to the charge.

It is thought that Klopp will accept the charge – how could he not! – and he will receive a fine and a warning about his future conduct.

The manager has already spoken about the incident saying:

“I have to apologize because I didn’t want to be disrespectful – but I couldn’t stop myself. If I could describe how I felt when the goal went in, then I would have control over it. We don’t want to look for excuses but that’s how it is.”

While many rival fans are tut-tutting and fuming at the manager, Liverpool fans could not care less.

There is immense pride amongst Kopites that we have a manager who is passionate and fired up about the club and our results.

To most Reds this is an example of why we have the best manager in the world. The fine and the charge mean nothing to average Liverpool supporter.

Clearly no fan wants him to have a touchline ban – so he will have to keep an eye on future celebrations. But if you can’t get delirious about a 96th minute in the derby then football is dead. Go on Big Jurg!
