Origi to feature against Burnley as Liverpool suffer injuries
By David Gate
Liverpool hero Divock Origi could find himself in action again very soon as Jurgen Klopp shuffles his pack for the midweek Premier League clash with Burnley.
Belgian striker Divock Origi is the toast of the Red half of Merseyside after his 96th minute winning goal for Liverpool against Everton yesterday. But that celebration will quickly need to turn to focus as he could feature against Burnley this week.
In the post-match comments Jurgen Klopp highlighted that Sadio Mane has a painful cut that they will assess in the next few days. There is now some concern that the Senegalese forward will miss the Wednesday Premier League match at Turf Moor.

In that event Klopp could play Roberto Firmino on the left, or leave out the weary looking Brazilian all together. Then Xherdan Shaqiri would likely take up the left-wing role, leaving room for a striker to come into the side.
The most likely candidate is Daniel Sturridge who has been the first choice alternative to Firmino this season and has four goals.
However after his derby winning efforts Klopp could plump for Origi instead. Either way the striker would be the first attacking option off the bench.
He is now highly likely to feature at some point against Burnley if Mane is absent or Firmino is rested.
It has been expected that Origi would leave Anfield in the January transfer window for a fee of around £20 million. Wolverhampton Wanderers have been the leading club for his signing.
His inclusion in these Premier League games will only go to bump his transfer stock over the coming months.
If he can grab another goal or two over the busy December holiday period there is the chance that Klopp could reconsider the forward’s Anfield future. Stranger things have happened than that!
