Worst striker ever! Forgot about him! Liverpool fans respond to former player
By David Gate
Liverpool fans are responding to the comments of former player El Hadji Diouf who declared he wished he never played for the Reds.
If I could pick one former Liverpool player to never speak the name of the club again it would be El Hadji Diouf. The Senegalese forward has been bitter towards the Reds ever since he left the club in 2005 after three disappointing seasons. He has been chatting rubbish again in the media.
In his latest comments he has stated that he wishes he never signed for Liverpool. The feeling’s mutual bud. But he has also attempted to dig the needle in further by saying he wished he’d gone to Manchester United or Barcelona instead.

There was no chance he could have gone to either of those sides. He was bought by Gerard Houllier after making a name for himself at the 2002 World Cup. He couldn’t form a decent connection with Michael Owen or Emile Heskey and was sold by Rafa Benitez at the end of the Spaniard’s first year at the club.
He said yesterday: “I can say today that the shirt that I regret wearing the most was Liverpool’s. Because if I were to do that part of my career again, I would have gone to FC Barcelona or Manchester United.”
The only way I could dislike him more is if actually did play for United. They deserve each other.
There is a stark contrast between our first ever Senegalese striker and our second one. Sadio Mane has been an excellent representative of Liverpool Football Club both on the pitch and off it.
Mane has 40 goals in less than 100 appearances for the Reds and has been a key player under the sides improvement in the Jurgen Klopp era. However he faces a race to be fit for tomorrow’s game against Burnley in the Premier League.
