Liverpool vs Man Utd: Best since Alonso! Fans go wild for midfielder’s dominance
Fans are going nuts after Liverpool beat Manchester United thanks to the dominance of one midfielder.
Fabinho started his sixth Premier League game of the season and is getting into the groove now. Those early doubts about the Brazilian seem a long way away.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp eased the former AS Monaco man into his Anfield career and that appears to be paying off, with one punter claiming Fabinho was the best midfielder to grace Merseyside since Xabi Alonso.
According to Squawka, the 25-year-old had an absolutely monster game as Liverpool crushed the Mancs 3-1 at home.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring after 24 minutes before an Alisson Becker error let United back into the game. Jesse Lingard made the most of the mistake to equalize, before Xherdan Shaqiri changed the game with two goals after coming on as a second-half substitute.
Klopp reverted to a midfield three as Fabinho featured alongside Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum. Jordan Henderson dropped out of the side again, but things really changed when Keita was withdrawn for Shaqiri.
And while the win was based on an excellent team performance, Fab was one of those who really stood out and is looking like excellent value for money.
With 83 touches, 66 passes, two chances created and one assist he had an impact all over the pitch. The Brazilian also won a tackle, completed an interception and won an aerial duel.
Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren also started the game in a defence that can easily be labelled one of the weakest Liverpool have put out all season, but they managed to cope with everything United threw at them and would have had a clean sheet if it wasn’t for Alisson.
The Reds have now gone 18 Premier League games unbeaten this season and are sitting top of the table thanks to Manchester City dropping points against Chelsea last weekend.
