The bookmakers have halved the odds on Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Omur heading to Liverpool. There has been a flurry of transfer speculation that the Reds could be making a move.
A host Europe’s top clubs have been vying for his signature; Man City, Roma, Barcelona and Inter Milan have all been keeping pace with Liverpool.

However the bookies have shortened the odds him making an Anfield move so that the Reds are now favorites for his signature.
Liverpool were at 8/1 with the other clubs but that has been reduced to 9/2 in the last few days.
The Turkish international star caught the eye last year with some dynamic midfield performances in his breakthrough season. The 19-year-old managed three goals and six assists for Trabzonspor and has followed that with two goals and three assists so far this term.
Out of the current Liverpool squad he would most resemble Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in his style of player – a ball carrying midfielder with great technique, full of energy with high work ethic.
Many believe Omur to be a perfect young player to be developed by Jurgen Klopp. The manager would love his endurance and effort and help develop his tactical and technical attributes.
While the bookies have Liverpool as favorites it remains very unlikely that Klopp would move for him in January. Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to return from his long-term knee injury and every other central midfielder fit and being rotated. Abdulkadir Omur would likely be a summer move if James Milner’s contract is not renewed at the end of the season.
Midfield may not be the priority this summer with the Reds expected to bring in a top attacker and some defensive options.
