Klopp dunks on former Liverpool star in Leicester press conference

Jurgen Klopp ended up dunking on a former Liverpool star as he was talking about Leicester City ahead of tomorrow’s huge Premier League clash.
It’s a huge game as Liverpool take on Leicester City in a vital match in the Premier League title race. Jurgen Klopp has had mixed fortunes against the Foxes and while defending his record he inadvertently dunked on former Reds star Lucas Leiva.
The German manager lost his first three games against Leicester at the King Power Stadium before fixing that in the last two visits. While being asked about the danger of England striker Jamie Vardy – who has an excellent record against the Anfield side – he highlighted a mistake from the Brazilian midfielder:

On Vardy – “He is a fantastic striker but we have made it easy for him. Didn’t Lucas Leiva give him an assist? Even I’d have scored that goal”
Yikes! The manager does not forget a mistake! Lucas Leiva was often asked to fill in at center back during Klopp’s first two seasons at Anfield. He performed reasonably but was guilty of an occasional error. And the boss has not forgotten.
Lucas left Merseyside at the beginning of last season to play for Lazio in Serie A. He has thrived in Italy where the slightly slower pace – and high level of technical play – suits his talents.
Vardy was missing when the two sides met earlier in the season when Liverpool beat the home side 2-1 with goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the first half putting the Reds in control before they held on after a second half strike from the Foxes.
The manager will have the English striker on his mind as he selects his back four for tomorrow’s game. Trent Alexander-Arnold is going to miss the game so Fabinho may deputize at right back if he is fit enough to start. Rafa Camacho could also come in for his first Premier League start.
Virgil van Dijk should be fit after an illness scare. We will need the Dutchman if we have any hope of keeping a clean sheet against Vardy and the Leicester forwards.
