Liverpool vs Leicester: The moment that has Jurgen Klopp livid
Liverpool could only draw with Leicester City on Wednesday night and one key moment has Jurgen Klopp absolutely livid.
It was all going so well after three minutes and Sadio Mané’s opening goal, but then defender Harry Maguire equalized just before half time and that was that.
The Reds could never really get going in the second half, but should have had a penalty and that’s what Klopp was so mad about.
You don’t normally hear managers openly criticize referees in the manner that Klopp did, which just goes to show his depth of feeling.

The BBC post-match live stream carried quotes from the gaffer. According to Klopp, it was the most obvious penalty shout Liverpool have had this season – but still it wasn’t given.
“It was probably the clearest penalty situation we have had,” said the German. “The ref was in the best position on the pitch. You will have to ask him why he didn’t give a penalty.”
That doesn’t really change how poor the Reds were as an attacking unit, but it could still be the difference at the end of the season.
After Manchester City opened the door by losing to Newcastle United yesterday, Liverpool should have done better to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points. Decisions like the penalty should be made correctly and when they aren’t it rackles.
Jordan Henderson started at right-back while Xherdan Shaqiri started alongside Naby Keita in the middle as Klopp pulled two selection rabbits out of his hat – but Shaqiri was swapped with Fabinho has the manager tried to spark the team into life.
But it was clearly going to be a night of frustration for the title leaders, who will want to put this to bed with an emphatic performance against West Ham.
