Liverpool continue to miss key defensive options as Dejan Lovren joins Joe Gomez in being ruled of the Premier League clash at Bournemouth tomorrow.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed today the Dejan Lovren has not trained and will miss the Premier League matchup against Bournemouth tomorrow.

He joins Joe Gomez in missing the crucial game at Anfield as the Reds chase the title. Despite this set back there was some positive news for the Reds.

Both Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum trained this week with the Dutchman set to start and the captain likely to be included in the match day squad.

Liverpool struggled to control the midfield against West Ham on Monday evening and the manager will be delighted to have two of his most trusted players back in contention.

Another positive sign is that Trent Alexander-Arnold also trained fully this week but it remains to be seen if he will feature after nearly a month out with injury.

The back four tomorrow will likely consist of Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and James Milner once again filling in at right back.

The vice-captain has struggled as a full back deputy in the two starts he has made there; Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace and Felipe Anderson of West Ham both causing him huge headaches.

If Alexander-Arnold is indeed not ready by tomorrow there are many who would rather see Rafa Camacho given the opportunity to play. The youngster did a decent job against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup.

Bournemouth have an attack that can get goals. Ryan Fraser is likely to start on the left for the Cherries and Klopp maybe better off with the young full back to counteract the Scottish international’s pace.

The timeframe for Gomez’ return appears to be 4-6 weeks making the second leg of the Champions League clash with Bayern Munich possible for the center back.
