Liverpool have included a bunch of youngsters in their squad for the training camp in Spain. Could this indicate some of the ways the club will move in the transfer window?
Liverpool have announced the squad they are taking to the midweek training camp in Spain that starts today. There are a handful of surprise inclusions that could indicate the direction the club may take in the transfer market this summer.
The group is heading to Marbella for warm weather sessions ahead of the Champions League clash and includes many young players:

Fabinho, Van Dijk, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Mane, Salah, Alisson, Henderson, Sturridge, Moreno, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Shaqiri, Brewster, Robertson, Origi, Matip, Phillips, Jones, Hoever, Woodburn, Kelleher, Camacho, Alexander-Arnold, Christie-Davies, Whelan, Lewis.
There are those who have been around the first team set up all season: Rafa Camacho, Curtis Jones and Ki-Jana Hoever.
However the two most interesting inclusions for the summer transfer intentions is Rhian Brewster and Adam Lewis.
Brewster is a surprise inclusion. Not because of his talent or ability but because he wasn’t expected to be fit until the pre-season.
The club are expected to sell Divock Origi and release Daniel Sturridge at the end of the season. That would leave Brewster as the only central forward in the squad behind Roberto Firmino.
If he is indeed fully fit for the pre-season there will be less immediate pressure for Jurgen Klopp to bring in another forward. Brewster is highly rated by the German manager and expected to get an extended chance to prove himself next year.
Liverpool are also likely to release Alberto Moreno when the Spaniard’s contract expires in the summer. He is the main back-up to Andrew Robertson and so speculation has been that the Reds will move for another option at the position in the transfer market.
The inclusion of Lewis makes that less certain. If the left back can impress in his opportunities then perhaps he will be given a shot at being the rotation option for Robertson in the 2019/20 season.
