Liverpool may have their dream £50 million deal for wonderkid Matthijs De Ligt scuppered due to one surprising factor.
The Mirror has reported that the Reds dislike dealing with De Ligt’s agent Mino Raiola so much that it might put them off trying to do a deal with Ajax for the talented central defender.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the 19-year-old – while Barcelona would like to reunite De Ligt with Frenkie de Jong next season.
According to the report, English clubs don’t want to deal with Raiola and that may cost the Dutch starlet a move to the Premier League.

Juventus and PSG also want to sign the genetic freak – and they remain the only sides to officially lodge their interest with Ajax.
Raiola has had public fall outs with City manager Pep Guardiola after the agent was responsible for engineering Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s move away from Barcelona, while United don’t like Raiola because he touted Paul Pogba around the clubs during Jose Mourinho’s Old Trafford days.
According to the newspaper, De Ligt does want to play in England but his choice of representative may cost him that chance. He’d be perfect for nearly every team in the league, but would look especially good lining up next to Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk.
Jurgen Klopp can call on Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren as partners for van Dijk – but De Ligt would add another world-class option into the mix and give the Reds one of the most promising back lines in the league.
Gomez has immense potential and has already improved considerably this season, while van Dijk is a proven world class player.
Klopp would be making a real statement by signing the Ajax kid, and that £50 million will look like small change over the next 10 years. The club would be making a real statement by signing the player in the summer.
