Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic has a never ending supply of sef-confidence, and proved it in the latest interview he did.

ESPN journalist Glenn Price spoke to Grujic, who is currently with Hertha Berlin, about his future aims with the Reds and the next steps the Serbian might take career wise.

It’s well worth a read, a paints the former Red Star Belgrade prodigy as someone with an incredibly high amount of confidence and belief in his own ability.

It has been suggested that Grujic lacks the all round game to succeed under Klopp, but the youngster definitely doesn’t think his skills don’t watch up with what the German wants.

"“We know how Liverpool play with one No. 6 and a double eight and I’m not really bothered about that. I can play both positions,” asserted Grujic."

They definitely like him in Berlin, and would be happy to keep the Serbian on a permanent deal – said ESPN. However, Liverpool may not be thrilled with that. The club knocked back Torino’s loan offer at the start of the campaign because it continued a clause that would let the Italian side buy Grujic in the summer.

Klopp also texts his young charge, while Michael Edwards and loan pathways and football partnerships manager Julian Ward have attended a Hertha game against Bayern Munich.

Despite that, adding an extra midfielder to the squad for next season would mean competition for places is extremely high. While the squad has had to deal with injuries by shuffling Fabinho and James Milner into the back four has meant Grujic could have probably picked up some minutes – but that will change for 2019/2020.

For a start, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be back and you can see Klopp moving for a right-back to provide competition to Trent Alexander-Arnold.  Another central defender would be welcome too, which would enable all the midfielder to play in their natural position.
