Liverpool planning double Ajax transfer raid this summer say reports

Liverpool are planning two sensational transfer moves from Ajax this summer after reports that both Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech are targets.

Liverpool are watching the emerging stars of Ajax closely s reports emerge that the Reds are planning a double swoop in the transfer window; star players Matthijs de Ligt & Hakim Ziyech are both on the transfer radar.

Bleacher Report say their sources claim that Ziyech is on the Anfield watch list. His performance at the Bernabeau against Real Madrid last week drew rave reviews.

The attacking midfielder has been in sensational form this season racking up 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions. He is just entering his prime at 25-years-old and Jurgen Klopp could make him the fourth world-class attacker at the club.

He predominately plays on the right for Ajax but he can operate in the central areas offering a level technique the Reds have not had in the middle since Philippe Coutinho left.

Every top club in Europe is looking at 19-year-old defensive sensation de Ligt. He has been outstanding at the heart of the Ajax defense as they’ve progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Liverpool are one of the leading clubs for his signature alongside the usual suspects of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus and PSG. However the Dutch international fueled speculation of a move to Anfield this week after saying “it could happen” in an interview.

The pair would cost over £100 million as the minimum prices being talked about are £60 million for Matthijs de Ligt and £45 million for Hakim Ziyech.

The Dutch side have already agreed to sell midfielder Frenkie de Jong to Barcelona for £75 million in the summer transfer window. Liverpool are hoping that they can claim the remaining two stars from this remarkable Ajax team.
