Two Liverpool starlets have been named as part of the world’s 50 best wonderkids by Goal in their annual NxGn list.

Dutch defender Ki-Jana Hoever and English striker Rhian Brewster were featured on the countdown, which is produced every year.

Reds fans can be pleased that two of their Academy products are among the most highly rated teenagers on the planet.

Hoever was placed at 23 on the list and has already played for Liverpool first team this season, where he became the youngest ever to feature in the FA Cup for the club. Hoever was just 16-years-old when he made his debut.

The former Ajax academy man rose to prominence within Melwood after taking part in a first team training session and nearly marking Mohamed Salah out of the game – wrote Goal.

It was a composed and powerful performance that left many of the senior squad wondering who this U18 gem was. All this youth coaches rave about Hoever, and now Klopp has joined that list as well.

Brewster has had a different rise and injury problems have prevented him from doing the same as his NxGn 2019 colleague. The forward only signed his first professional deal at 18-year-old, after Liverpool convinced him to stay on Merseyside rather than accept Bundesliga offers.

Jurgen Klopp loves the youngster, said Goal, who are still convinced that they have a future first team regular on their hands.

Liverpool have got a number of highly rated teens on their hands, and while players such as Rafa Camacho and Curtis Jones haven’t made the NxGn 2019 list, they still have bright futures ahead of them.

Camacho has already had a taste of senior football while Jones has a lot of talent and was included on the team’s pre-season tour of America.

Adam Lewis, the left-back, also has a rare chance to slide straight into the first team if he can convince Klopp not to spend money to replace Alberto Moreno.
