Liverpool are hosting Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in a huge Premier League clash in the title race. Here are five reasons Liverpool will tear Spurs apart.

International breaks are the worst. They are an unnecessary pause in the momentum of club competitions and just create opportunity for injury. But that is over and Liverpool are preparing to welcome Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

This is a huge game in the Premier League title race. At least for Liverpool. The Reds are currently top of the table but have played a game more than Man City, their nearest rivals, who are only two points behind.

Spurs were hoping this game would be relevant to their title hopes but three losses and draw in their last four games have sunk their chances. Instead they are fighting to simply make the Champions League spaces.

They are a massive 15 points behind Liverpool but are only one point ahead of fourth place Arsenal and three in front of a resurgent Man Utd side.

Every game for the Reds is (cliché alert) a cup final for the rest of the season. There are a couple of hurdles that are bigger than others. This game and the matchup with Chelsea are the biggest in the way for Jurgen Klopp’s side. A win for Liverpool would be a huge step towards a first league title in 29 years.
