Twitter meltdown incoming! Manager reveals line-up plans
By David Gate
Prepare for a Liverpool Twitter meltdown as Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock talks about the side he will put out for their Premier League clash with Man City tomorrow.
There is a ritual that Liverpool fans go through for every single, without fail, rain or shine. No I’m not talking about singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. I’m talking about the Twitter meltdown about whatever midfield Jurgen Klopp has chosen for that day.
Now Reds will be getting themselves in a tizzy about another manager’s selections. Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has been talking again about the team he will field against Man City in the Premier League tomorrow night.

During his initial comments after his side’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea on Sunday he mentioned he would field the “Under-23’s against City”. He has since sought to clarify those comments but they will not fill Liverpool fans with much hope of a Cardiff City fight at the Etihad.
Speaking about Man City he says they “have got two teams in their squad and I doubt any of our squad could get in either of them.”
Way to fill your lads with confidence Neil!
He continues: “And you’re not only pitting your wits against the very best; possibly in the world, let alone Europe. tThe thing is I think it’s the highest odds in a game there’s ever been in the Premier League. Forty to one to win a game in a two-horse race!”
While he says he won’t field a weakened side it is hard to believe him. His comments indicate they feel they have little chance of winning or scraping a point. You have to think they will be highly focussed on Burnley on Saturday.
The Clarets are five points ahead of the Bluebirds in 17th place. A win for Warnock’s side will reduce that gap to two points and make life very uncomfortable for Burnley in the last few weeks of the season.
That is why I’m certain there will be plenty for Liverpool fans to grumble about tomorrow night; when a weakened team is announced; when they go down after five minutes; when they give up and let City run up the goal difference. It’s depressing.
