Liverpool interested in two left backs according to transfer reports
By David Gate
Liverpool are looking at two left backs – Nicolas Tagliafico and Ruben Vinagre – for this summer’s transfer window according to reports in the media.
Liverpool are scoping out two left backs to bolster the position this summer according to the latest transfer reports. Nicolas Tagliafico of Ajax and Ruben Vinagre of Wolverhampton Wanderers are the names being touted.
Tagliafico has been linked to the Reds in the Mirror. The 26-year-old has been a late developer but is currently proving his progress as Ajax have sailed through to the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Argentinian made his international debut in 2017 and has since become the first choice left back for his country. Any fee would be above the £20 million marker.
Vinagre is being touted with a move to Anfield by a Portuguese outlet. This is the 19-year-old’s first season as a permanent Wolves player after spending last year on-loan in the Midlands in the Championship.
Apparently Jurgen Klopp has been in touch with him and asked if he would: “like to live in Liverpool”.
The Club are not renewing the contract of Alberto Moreno who is available on a free transfer this summer. That means they will have no first team backup for Andrew Robertson.
The common thinking has been that the club would promote Adam Lewis from the reserve team after youngster has impressed in the Under-23 side this season.
However these latest stories imply that decision has not been made yet and the club are looking at other options to shore up the position for next season.
I am prone to believe the interest in Ruben Vinagre more than the rumors around Nicolas Tagliafico. The club rarely go for players who are over 25 and they are unlikely to spend a sizable chunk of the transfer budget on a back-up left back.
