Liverpool vs Porto: Should be sacked! Fans don’t want 26yo given another chance
Liverpool welcome Porto to Anfield on Tuesday night, but fans are adamant that they don’t want 26-year-old Alberto Moreno to be given another chance.
The Reds have moved on from Moreno and the Spaniard has hardly featured at all this season, making just six appearances. Andy Robertson is banned from the Champions League clash, but that doesn’t mean the left-back will be due any game time. In fact, it’s likely that he’s played his last for the club and he’ll definitely leave on a free at the end of the season.
Fans were responding to Neil Jones’s latest article for Goal about Moreno’s time at Anfield, which looked back at his arrival, his form, those big moments that cost the club and where Jurgen Klopp may go next.
But one thing is sure, there’ll be riots if the Spaniard is picked to start against Porto on Tuesday night.

Robertson has picked up too many yellow cards and will be suspended for the first leg of the game and the first leg only. In a normal situation, Moreno would come into the side. But not at Liverpool, no way.
James Milner can play just about anywhere and is likely to be selected to fill in for Robbo for the Champions League game. Luckily, Milner has a fair amount of experience there now and this won’t phase him at all.
With 40 appearances at left-back, seven goals and seven assists, Milner is just the type of attacking influence that Klopp wants from his full-backs.
However, he has only featured there twice this season, down from an incredible 34 times during the 2016/2017 campaign. Turns out you can teach an old dog new tricks, and you’d rather an old dog in your side than a sheep pretending to be one.
We’ve seen how vital Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are to the side going forward, and it’s no surprise that both lead Liverpool’s assist charts.
Now it’ll be Milner, not Moreno, who’ll be given the chance to continue that good work.
