Fans are not happy with what Fabinho did during his incident with Eden Hazard as Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 in the Premier League.

The Brazilian had another excellent game for the Reds, but one moment has sent opposition supporters into a frenzy of condemnation.

And to be fair, it’s a bit grim.

While Hazard was lying on the ground, Fabinho took aim with a snarly and deposited it in the direction of the Belgian ace.

The former AS Monaco man had Hazard’s number all game and made four tackles throughout the 90 minutes, but this one unsavoury moment has spoiled that a little bit.

He has formed an excellent midfield partnership with Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson, while Gini Wijnaldum has dropped out of the side for the moment.

Henderson scored against Porto during the week and provided an excellent chipped cross for Sadio Mane to head in the first goal against Chelsea. It appears that playing alongside Fabinho has allowed Henderson to be more creative and fluent, and it’s working.

Keita, too, appears to be nearing the levels expected of him when he joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in the summer. That the midfield is starting to really click is incredibly encouraging with only four Premier League games left of the season.

This one will go all the way to the wire.

Fabinho needs to harness that dog in him to help the side, not hinder it. We love seeing blokes playing tough, but the team can’t have the Brazilian missing games for conduct like that snot rocket or a spit. The league has banned people for it before.

What a win though! Let’s enjoy it for the next few days before focusing up on the second leg against Porto and another Premier League game against Cardiff City and another must win 90 minutes.
