Liverpool starlet Trent Alexander-Arnold showed some skill that sent Chelsea forward Gonzalo Higuain to the shadows.

The Reds beat the Blues 2-0 during their Premier League showdown on Sunday thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but one moment from Alexander-Arnold really stood out.

Trent found himself in an advanced position on the left flank, and Higuain had dropped back to defend against the youngster. As the ball dropped towards TAA, the defender flicked it behind his body and out in front on him – leaving Higuain in his dust, dazed and confused.

Alexander-Arnold then burst into the box but saw his weak shot saved by the Chelsea goalkeeper. We can’t show you the footage in this article because of rights restrictions, but you can view it through Reddit here.

We all know that Trenta is more than just a defender. With his excellent passing range, there is no reason why the England international couldn’t end up in midfield one day – while his dribbling and crossing skills are part of the reason why he’s such a threat going forward.

Higuain struggled in front of goal once again, but showed that he was willing to get back to help out the team by appearing in the right-back position. The Argentine isn’t a natural defender, clearly, at struggled to stop the attacking building up.

Liverpool have just four games left in the Premier League season and should be able to win them all – which puts massive pressure on Manchester City, who can’t afford to drop any points.

Cardiff City, Newcastle United, Huddersfield Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers are the final cluster of games and if Alexander-Arnold can continue being such a menace in important areas the club should have no problems picking up 12 points.

Liverpool also have a Champions League quarter final to finish off against Porto before the competition gets towards the pointy end.
