Liverpool 4-1 Porto: Did Porto really troll themselves by accident?
Liverpool eased past Porto in the Champions League quarter finals, but did they really troll themselves by accident after scoring?
The Reds had a nice 2-0 lead after the first leg and were up by the same score after 65 minutes before the home side finally got one back.
Real Madrid bound right-back Eder Militão hit the back of the net, which dampened the mood a little bit – until some beautiful sounds started filtering through the PA system.
Ears started to prick up. Grins started to spread. I can’t believe, a few might have whispered to themselves.

Before finally, it was confirmed: Porto were really trolling themselves, by accident. The best form of trolling. The holy grail of the art. The self-troll.
Because, they’d only started to blast out the Gini Wijnaldum song. Wijnaldum wasn’t even playing that well! Did it matter? Did it nick. What a bloody result.

A 4-1 win means Liverpool strolled into the semi final of the Champions League, but the next game won’t be half as easy and you can be sure Barcelona won’t be doing any accidental self-trolling.
The Catalan giants swatted aside Manchester United like an irritating mosquito at a barbecue, and everyone will have to be on their best form to stop Lionel Messi and the assorted attacking Barca outlets from running amok.
But if Liverpool can win, they’ll meet either Tottenham Hotspur or Ajax in the final – a more winnable prospect than last season’s game against Real Madrid.
The fairytale season is still on. A Premier League and Champions League double could be on. Manchester City lost against Spurs and will be fuming – which could make the Reds job even harder.
